Second City
Second City, Chicago's famous comedy troupe, has landed in Las Vegas at the Flamingo hotel and casino. This funny cast of improv comedians puts on a fantastic show which splits time on both an improv type and scripted comedy routine (more heavily on the scripted side). The scripted show features sketches that poke fun at various issues including the differences between men and women, childhood issues and the city of Las Vegas in general. It is witty and fresh and offers a laugh-a-minute style pace.
The talented cast of Amanda Blake Davis, Paul Mattingly, Katie Neff, Andy St. Clair and Craig Uhlir takes the audience through a performance of intertwining sketches. Very much like 'Saturday Night Live', the show always remains bright and entertaining, showcasing the talents of the performers on stage. The venue is a small and intimate lounge, ensuring that everyone has a very close-up and enjoyable view of the show. There is even a live musician to add the score to the acts. Second City is definitely a 'must see' while out in Las Vegas.
